Beware number plate theft
Many number plates are being stolen/counterfeited by criminals. They are then used on identical cars enabling the criminal to evade speeding fines, congestion charges and even participate in criminal activity.

As a result of this growing crime the DVLA are trialling a new type of number plate with a microchip inside to prevent this happening in the future.
